Chapter 18
CHRIST'S APPEARANCE When I was thirteen years of age, on a spring day of a Sunday afternoon, as my mother, my brother Peter, my sister Ada and I were gathered in a moment of solemnity in our dining room, CHRIST APPEARED. Spontaneously, I commissioned my brother Peter to go to the field to get some clay. He returned with the perfect consistency of this material. In a few instants, I had sculpted the full figure of the divine image of Christ with his arms fully extended out exuding love. In this family communion with the divine all of us were transformed with new dimensions added to our awareness. This, my first and only sculpture still stands today in my native home, for every time I go back it is a vivid reminder that I am loved. |
